York Ice Trail
An enchanted city awaits!
Explore York’s historic streets as they come alive for York Ice Trail. This will see the streets of York come alive with over 30 ice sculptures and an array of exciting activities inspired by magic, mystery, and the weird and wonderful, creating an extraordinary trail.
The 2026 event also brings two new photo/video opportunities to York Ice Trail! The first being the Snow Block, a larger than life, playful and interactive photo opportunity. The Snow block is a 3D snow angel silhouette formed into a giant artificial snow block. The second is the Igloo 360 Camera, a playful and immersive addition to this year’s York Ice Trail.
Join us for an icy adventure at the biggest outdoor ice trail in the UK! The Ice Trail will transform York into a sparkling ice sculpture city.
We'll meet at the paved area at the back of York Tap within the station at 1pm. If you want to get a drink there before we leave then please arrive a bit earlier.
Location & Itinerary
Meet Sylvia at 11:30am on the paved area at the back of the York Tap. This is within York Railway Station next to Platform 2.
The York Tap is located at the Railway Station. Car parking is also available there.
