Beginners Modern Embroidery Evening
Overview
Join this beginner embroidery workshop and learn the timeless art of stitching while creating a beautiful design to take home. This class is the perfect introduction to modern embroidery, showing you how to bring patterns to life on fabric using just a needle and thread.
If you've never embroidered or even picked up a needle before, this is the ideal activity for you. In a relaxed and welcoming environment, your friendly instructor will guide you through every step. You'll learn how to work with colourful threads and soft fabrics as you master a variety of basic stitches.
This calming workshop offers a wonderful chance to slow down and enjoy a moment of creative mindfulness.

Chanel's cosy sewing studio holds up to 8 crafters so is the perfect group size to stitch and chat and just unwind. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore your artistic ideas using beads and thread.
You'll leave the class with a renewed sense of accomplishment, taking with you not only valuable new skills but also a unique piece of stitched art to proudly display or gift to someone special.
Location & Itinerary
Chanel Green is the founder of 'Nelly Makes', which is the DIY side of D J Chanel Designs - a fabric design business. Chanel used to run a home interiors company, making bespoke curtains and soft furnishings. She gave up this business to focus more on design. However, as a Textiles teacher and a lover of all things arts and crafts she wants to continue passing on her skills to those eager to tap into their inner creativity. As a previous tutor at Midlands Arts Centre and with years experience as a Textiles Teacher, Chanel's specialities include embroidery, surface design, sewing, pattern cutting, couture sewing techniques, felting and batik to name a few.
Nelly Makes classes are small and cosy and full of creativity. The Classroom is a fully equipped sewing studio where Chanel has made all her orders and still currently uses to make the orders for several Etsy shops.
This workshop is not a Spice exclusive, but it is only for a maximum of 8 people so we're hoping that the majority of us will be Spicers anyway!
The Nelly Makes sewing studio is a purpose built room situated at the back of Chanel's home in Great Barr.
Free off road parking is available right outside the house or across the road and up the street.
