Edinburgh Doors Open Day 2026

We will meet at the Talbot Rice Gallery, South Bridge, Edinburgh, EH8 9QA

1. University of Edinburgh Old College, South Bridge, Edinburgh, EH8 9QA - Talbot Rice Gallery presents original and relevant exhibitions within a unique historical context. Talbot Rice comprises two distinct gallery spaces; a contemporary white cube space and a historic Georgian gallery.

2. University of Edinburgh: The Bayes Centre & Inspace and Institute for Design Informatics - Guided Tour - The Bayes Centre is the University of Edinburgh's Innovation Hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The technical strengths brought together in the Bayes Centre build on world-leading academic excellence in the mathematical, computational, engineering, and natural sciences in the University of Edinburgh's College of Science and Engineering.

3. Edinburgh Central Mosque - Guided Tour - Edinburgh Central Mosque is an iconic building in the heart of Scotland’s capital city. Completed in 1998, it is Edinburgh’s main mosque and cultural centre. Doors Open Day is an opportunity to explore the Mosque and meet the Muslim community.

4. McEwan hall - This iconic Grade A listed building was designed by Sir Rowand Anderson, with lavish interiors by William Palin. Construction was completed in 1894.

5. Greyfriars Kirkyard - Greyfriars Kirkyard is a world-famous and locally-loved historic graveyard. It is the second most popular free tourist attraction in the whole of Scotland. 

We'll stop for refreshments as we go and We'll aim to book a table at café Andaluz for around 4.30pm.
