Leeds Light Night
With over fifty spectacular light installations, dynamic projections and interactive artworks over two days, the streets of Leeds will be transformed into an incredible illuminated playground.
Light Night Leeds is an annual free multi-arts and light festival which takes over Leeds City Centre on two nights each October.
This year’s event focusses on the city’s landmarks – the historic buildings, modern architecture and public spaces. The city will be divided into eight different zones with several sound and light installations in each.
Highlights include projections onto Civic Hall, The Queens Hotel and The Hyatt Hotel.
We'll meet in the pub first for a drink before we set off to visit three of the light zones. Please be ready to leave the pub at 7pm. We will stopping off periodically for a drink and to catch up as the streets will be very busy and it will be difficult keeping a large group together. We will finish for a last drink at approximately 10pm at The Scarbrough near Leeds railway station.

The Head of Steam Park Row is at the corner of Park Row, Bond Street and Lower Basinghall Street. It's less than 250 metres from the railway station. Walk up Park Row from City Square and you will soon come to the pedestrianised Bond Street on your right. Turn right onto Bond Street and the entrance to the pub is on your right.
See Parkopedia for Leeds city centre parking.
Leeds will be busy, some roads will be closed, and parking may be difficult.
The PR3 Stourton and PR1 Elland Road Park & Ride facilities will remain open late especially for Light Night Leeds. The last buses from Leeds City Centre will depart at 10pm. The buses travel into the city centre every 20 mins and offer free Wi-Fi. Return tickets are £3 per person. If you use the Park & Ride you will also see bonus exhibits as Elland Road Park & Ride will play host to Rock NeON and Stourton Park & Ride hosts the installation The Stars Come Out at Night.
