Manchester Mystery Adventure
Overview
Join us for Mystery Guides: The Mystery of The Strangeways Soprano
If you prefer to put your phones away and go entirely analogue, this is the gold standard. It is an outdoor escape room experience packed into a highly stylized, premium physical activity book. The plot is deeply tied to Manchester’s legendary music and cultural history, leading you to a genuine hidden treasure spot at the end.
The narrative is set in 1935, when the governor of the infamous Strangeways prison invited an opera singing inmate named Deano Rossi to perform at his private party. During the final encore, a prison riot broke out and the singer completely vanished. Decades later, our job is to track down the evidence, follow the historic maps, decode cryptic symbols, and eliminate suspects to deduce exactly who masterminded the escape and which local historic pub he was hidden in. The route covers a scenic two mile walking trail through the city centre, taking roughly two hours to complete depending on how long you stop to explore.
