This activity is perfectly suited for newcomers to beadwork, so no prior experience is needed. Your tutor, Chanel, who has over 15 years of teaching expertise, will patiently guide you through every stage. She'll provide clear instructions and handy tips, ensuring you feel supported as you learn.
You'll experience the satisfaction of watching your own patterned creation develop, finding the mindful process of stitching beads both calming and rewarding.

Chanel's cosy sewing studio holds up to 8 crafters so is the perfect group size to stitch and chat and just unwind. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore your artistic ideas using beads and thread.
You'll finish the workshop having made your very own beaded masterpiece to take away, feeling inspired by this fulfilling craft experience.
Location & Itinerary
Chanel Green is the founder of 'Nelly Makes', which is the DIY side of D J Chanel Designs - a fabric design business. Chanel used to run a home interiors company, making bespoke curtains and soft furnishings. She gave up this business to focus more on design. However, as a Textiles teacher and a lover of all things arts and crafts she wants to continue passing on her skills to those eager to tap into their inner creativity. As a previous tutor at Midlands Arts Centre and with years experience as a Textiles Teacher, Chanel's specialities include embroidery, surface design, sewing, pattern cutting, couture sewing techniques, felting and batik to name a few.
Nelly Makes classes are small and cosy and full of creativity. The Classroom is a fully equipped sewing studio where Chanel has made all her orders and still currently uses to make the orders for several Etsy shops.
This workshop is not a Spice exclusive, but it is only for a maximum of 8 people so we're hoping that the majority of us will be Spicers anyway!
The Nelly Makes sewing studio is a purpose built room situated at the back of Chanel's home in Great Barr.
Free off road parking is available right outside the house or across the road and up the street.
