Castlefield Viaduct Visit
Overview
The Castlefield Viaduct Sky Garden is a Grade II-listed Victorian steel railway viaduct transformed into an urban "garden in the sky." This elevated green space features distinct themed zones, a wild meadow, and unique views of Manchester's historic canals.
The site was closed in May 26 to allow the National Trust and its partners to conduct essential maintenance on the historic structure. Rather than reopening immediately after those initial repairs, the closure was extended to safely carry out the preparation and structural groundwork required for the massive Phase 2 expansion.
Entry to the garden is completely free. The site is equipped with a visitor welcome area and seating throughout. You can enjoy level, step-free access to the garden via lifts located directly at the Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop or Deansgate train station.
The garden has been shut for renovation so we will be lucky to be some of the first to see the new Castlefield Viaduct Sky Garden.
Join us afterwards at 2.30pm for Sunday Lunch at The Oxnoble
