The South Coast Team will be offering a full walking and social programme including a special dinner on The Lightship, a unique dining and drinks destination aboard a beautifully restored 1940s Lightship on Saturday night. We will also be offering optional events nearer the time but this programme is designed for you to be able to dip in and out of as you wish.
During the weekend Anita will take you on a couple of her ambles around Stokes Bay and Alverstoke, or you may wish to get all fired up at the Explosion Museum and take a deeper dive into the Submarine Museum. Of course a visit to Gosport would not be complete without taking a harbour tour enabling you to get up close and personal with our Royal Navy ships or a trip on the Gosport Ferry over to Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower.
The opportunities are endless and we look forward to welcoming you to this very special part of Hampshire.

Friday 14th August 2026
1.00pm Meet in the Hotel Bar for a drink and a snack if you wish
3.00pm Official Check-in time - however the rooms maybe ready earlier
7.00pm Meet in Reception for a short walk down to the Castle Tavern
7.30pm We are planning on taking you to a Chinese all-you-can-eat-buffet this evening, which is rather special as all the food is cooked to order and served to you at the table. This is one of Portsmouth/Gosport's group's favourite haunts and we are sure you are going to fall in love with the view!
After dinner we may end up in our local Wetherspoons, which just happens to be a stones throw away from our hotel.

Park Run enthusiasts might like to consider taking on the Cams Mill course in Fareham

Free time to explore other museums
1.45 am Meet in reception ready to set off for a walk to The Jolly Roger for a relaxing Sunday lunch. You can either walk back or get the bus into town.
6.30 pm Meet in Reception as we head down to catch the Gosport Ferry into Gunwharf Quays with opportunities to have drinks in the Spinnaker Tower and enjoy a light evening meal afterwards

How to get to your Hotel
By Car
From junction 11 of M27 take A27 for Fareham Central (Gosport A32). Continue keeping left for A32. At roundabout take first exit for A32. Continue across the next roundabout and continue keeping left for A32. Stay on A32, eventually going straight across two roundabouts. Stay on A32 for 1.5 miles into Gosport centre. Take a right onto Clarence road. Continue down Clarence Road, taking a left onto the High Street service area. The hotel car park will be on your right. Sat nav users should use postcode PO12 1HS
By Train
Trains run regularly from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour. Once you have exited Portsmouth Harbour Train Station the quickest and most efficient way to reach Gosport is via the Gosport Ferry which is just a short walk from the train station.
