Indoor Skydiving Taster
Overview
Come with us to discover the thrill of indoor skydiving at this new venue at the NEC.
All first-time flights have two instructors - one to help you in the tunnel, and one to control the air speed. Our group will have other first-time flyers, but you are 1-to-1 in the tunnel. This means the instructor will move at your pace.
iFly operate state-of-the-art remote virtual training, meaning flyers learn all essential Indoor Skydiving techniques before arrival. Of course, your Instructor will recap everything you need to know (in person) before you take to the air. Flyers should arrive 45 minutes before their flight time to meet their Instructor and gear-up.
Your flight at iFLY will be unforgettable, but many customers like to relive the experience. iFly have got cameras to capture your whole flight, so you can add pictures or videos to your online booking, or buy them after you fly - they make great profile pictures!
You can even do this experience if you are wheelchair bound or have mobility problems ...just let us know at the time of booking so that we can let the venue know in advance.

Allow around 90 minutes on site for this event.

Extras
If you want to add pictures, videos, repeat flights or have a High-Flight experience, we do charge for them as extras. Refreshments are available to purchase at the venue. You will also need to pay for car parking at the NEC.
Location & Itinerary
If you wear glasses, we recommend either removing them, or using contact lenses during your flight experience (but please note, there's always a small risk they may come out).
Alternatively, we can provide extra large goggles that fit neatly over your glasses, but this would not be possible on our Virtual Reality experiences, so would always recommend contact lenses for this.
For a more comfortable experience, we also offer full-face helmet rental, which may allow for glasses to be worn within the helmet. This chargeable extra is subject to availability, and is best discussed with your instructor on the day of your flight.
You can fly at iFLY as long as you:
Do not weigh more than 18 stone and 7 pounds (117kg).
Are 3 or above (you must be able to comfortably wear one of our helmets).
Are NOT pregnant.
Have NOT previously dislocated your shoulder.
Are NOT under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
Are NOT wearing a hard cast.
Have signed permission from a parent or guardian if under 18 years of age.
Have completed our Pre-Flight Waiver.
There is no minimum weight limit for Indoor Skydiving.
Wheelchair Users/Mobility Issues
Our highly-trained instructors and dedicated Inclusivity Ambassadors are here to help support you – they make what might seem impossible, possible. They’ll take care of everything—from gearing up in your flight suit to getting to grips with the winds in our tunnels.
You’ll get extra support during your session - plus, our facilities are designed with your needs in mind. And don’t worry, your flight will be an ultra-smooth, elating experience from start to finish.
iFLY Birmingham is located at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK
Parking for Birmingham is located in the NEC's East 5 car park (B40 1NT), and requires validation at iFLY Birmingham reception. The validated rates are:
- Up to 3 Hours £4.90
- Up to 6 Hours £8.50
- Up to 9 Hours £11.90
- Up to 12 Hours £15.80
- Over 12 Hours (or until 02:00) £25.00
If the parking is not validated the fee is £25 (up until 02:00hrs) then £2 per hour thereafter.
Payments are made at the payment machines in the car park before exit .
