Walking with Linda's: 4 or 6 mile, King's Cross to Kensington walk & Fixing Our Broken Planet exhibi

Join Linda on this 4 or 6 mile, King's Cross to Kensington walk & Fixing Our Broken Planet exhibition.

Please meet by the big white 'bird cage' structure on the pavement beside Kings Cross Railway Station on Pancras Road which runs, between Kings Cross and St. Pancras railway stations (near the German Gymnasium restaurant) by 09:50 ready for a prompt 10:00 departure.  

We will walk to the Regents Canal and follow it in a westerly direction to the Ice Wharf Wetherspoons by the canal lock at Camden for anyone who wants to buy a takeaway coffee or use the facilities.

We'll then continue alongside the canal and follow it to Paddington where we'll stop at a pub in Tyburnia where I have booked tables for lunch (at your own expense).

If a 4 mile walk and lunch are enough for you, you can go home from Paddington railway station after lunch.

Otherwise, after lunch we'll walk for a couple more miles to and across Kensington Gardens to the Natural History museum for a visit. 

We will have free time in the Natural History Museum for everyone to visit the exhibition areas of their choice as well as the new, "Fixing Our Broken Planet" exhibition where you can explore the biggest challenges facing our planet and discover science-backed, hopeful solutions to help us to create a more sustainable world.

After time to enjoy the museum, we'll meet up in the museum café and wildlife garden where you might like to end the day with a cup of tea and cake. Or we could go to the local, Italian drinks, cake and ice-creams parlor before we make our way to High Street Kensington tube station to catch our trains home.  

Please bring drinking water, money to buy lunch and any other drinks and snacks you may want.

Please dress for the weather on the day (and bring a golfing umbrella perhaps, if it is expected to rain!).

Please check your transport times, and for any engineering works, at least the day before the walk and allow some contingency time for delays. The walk needs to depart on time for the comfort and enjoyment of those who have arrived on time. Thank you. Linda
