Overview

This may save a lot of hassle on the Saturday morning. Because of the large number of people (almost 50) visiting Windsor Castle on Saturday 3rd October, we have decided to get a quote for a coach to collect us from the hotel and deliver us to the gates of the Castle. It works out at £5pp. It will take approx. 15 minutes for the coach to collect us from the hotel reception and drop us directly in front of the castle.

We have only booked one way as after the tour, people have different plans, some are going for lunch or afternoon tea, some are going on the afternoon walk, some may wish to potter around Windsor at their own pace.

If you’d like to join us on the bus, please book it now, as we have to confirm before the end of this week 28th August. You are of course welcome to share taxis or cars to the castle if that is your preference. Some travel information is provided below.

It takes between 12 and 16 minutes to get from the Hotel to one of the car parks listed and between 5 and 10 minutes to walk from the car park to the castle.  We are planning to enter the castle at 10.30am to take our places for the Changing of the Guard ceremony.
