Sunday Walk: New Mills
Overview
A very varied walk with some unusual features. First of all we descend into a landscape totally detached from the street life above where you could be forgiven for thinking you had entered Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘The Lost World’. Then we walk along a river and canal into a more pastoral setting with views of the surrounding hills, then ascend one of those hills to get the views before returning to New Mills by the spectacular Millenium Bridge. Please bring your walking boots and sandwiches as we will be having a picnic lunch along the way.
Facilities: If we are lucky, the toilets at the Information and Heritage Centre will be open whilst we are there
