Steam Train to York Christmas Markets from Birmingham or Tamworth
Overview
We had a great time when we had a day trip to Minehead so we are offering another one – this time to the historic city of York.
The White Rose Steam Train to York Christmas Markets can be boarded at Birmingham, Coleshill, Tamworth, Burton on Trent or Derby.
December is a fantastic time of the year to visit as they have a wonderful Christmas Markets.
We have approximately 4 hours in York to explore the city and Markets.
In addition to its famous Christmas market around Stonegate and the Shambles, the ever-popular city of York has many attractions for the day visitor. Inside York’s three miles of city walls there is evidence of Roman, Viking and medieval history, mixed with classic architecture from three centuries: visit York Minster, the Castle Museum, or the Jorvik Viking Experience and of course the lovely river.
