The existing building dates back to 1872 and the interior was remodeled in the 1890s. The pub is named after Queen Victoria’s 6th child who was an intelligent and artistic girl whom some believe was the most beautiful daughter.
The pub has Victorian tiling and mosaic floors and ornate mirrors. The pub features booths partitioned off from each other with cut-glass screens. Each has direct access to the bar.
It has two real fireplaces in the main bar and two in the restaurant which create a wonderful atmosphere in the autumn/winter months.
They have worked hard to give there customers great choices in there menus and some twists on traditional pub food to tempt you in. They source there ingredients from the very best and create there authentic dishes to appeal to a wide range of tastes and budgets.
