Moira, Conkers and Donnisthorpe Easy to Moderate Ramble
Overview
A lovely ramble with Steve Dell in the National Forest. At the request of many regulars this will be another easy to moderate ramble.
The pace will be the same but we will be going a little further, around 6½ miles.
A lot of conservation has been done in this area; there will be a variety of scenery and plenty of historical interest, such as the Ashby Woulds Heritage Trail which runs along the former line of the Ashby & Nuneaton joint railway, the Ashby Canal and Moira Furnace.
There will be woodland and reservoirs to admire along the way. This time we include the pretty Saltersford Valley pools.
Location & Itinerary
Steve will find somewhere to eat after the ramble
