Figure of Eight rambles Following requests from members Rob is bringing back figure of eight rambles will appeal to both social walkers who just want a short morning or afternoon ramble and longer walkers who want a full day ramble. Just arrive for the morning or afternoon ramble.

The area which is now Kingsbury Water Park was previously the site of gravel extraction pits that were operated by the Midland Gravel Company. The lakes were created from the craters left behind after the gravel had been taken out. The Water Park was opened on 24 May 1975 with two lakes and 123 acres. It has been expanded over the years and as of 2011 has fifteen lakes in an area covering over 600 acres. 

The morning ramble is just around 3 miles and explores the south side of the park heading over to canal pool and crossing the miniature railway it also includes a small section of the Birmingham Fazeley canal. There are a number of nature reserves we pass through

The afternoon ramble is just under 4 miles and explores a different part of the water park and the pretty village of Marston. We head over towards Broomy croft and join a different part of the Birmingham and Fazeley can. We head northwards passing serval locks before a passing the dog and doublet pub. We leave the canal and pass over the motorway before reaching the village of lea Marston. We head back into the park and return to the start.
