Overview

A gentle walk through streets, on public footpaths & through a small amount of pasture in and around Timperley Village on the outskirts of Altrincham.

On our route we will take in the King George V Pool which is a small artificial lake which was constructed in 1910 - 1911 to celebrate the coronation of King George V. and was given as a gift to the people of Altrincham by Lord Stamford in memory of the reign of King George V.as well as Timperley Old Hall the former site of Timperley Hall a medieval moated hall dating back to before the 16th century though little records can be found of the original building.

Our route back to the car park passes the statue of Frank Sidebottom which commemorates the life of his creator Chris Sievy.

DOGS: Lauren welcomes well behaved dogs on her walks. They need to be kept on a lead if we are walking amongst livestock, whilst we are eating and at all times if there is someone on the walk who is nervous of dogs.
