Canal Walk and Lunch: Slaithwaite to Marsden and back
Overview
As our canal walks are so popular we are repeating the walk from Slaithwaite to Marsden starting at the railway station. We'll leave here at 12pm.
The walk is approximately 3.5 miles and at Marsden we will walk to the Tunnel End where there is a museum and a coffee shop. After that we will head back to Marsden for our lunch at the New Inn which is booked for 2pm.
We will be walking at a steady pace but if anybody doesn't want to walk there and back there is always the train back to Slaithwaite (train fare extra). Although the walk is along the tow path it can get muddy in places so we do recommend wearing walking boots or sturdy footwear.
