Mike's Mendips Walk
Overview
The walk will take us through woods and across open downland to the trig point at Beacon Batch. The walk is mainly within the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the scenery is wonderful. We will then make our way to the Plume of Feathers at Rickford for a drink and optional late lunch before walking the last mile back to the car park. The walk is about 9 miles. Please bring drinks and snacks and packed lunch if not eating at the pub. The route is undulating with some climbs. The surface is very uneven and muddy in places. Walking boots essential.
