Sunday Walk: Pots, Pans and Alderman Hill
Overview
A lovely walk taking in hills, lakes and wonderful panoramic views on a clear day. We ascend Aldermans Hill and take in the Obelisk Monument commemorating Saddleworth's losses in the two World Wars.
Close to the obelisk is the 'Pots and Pans stone'. This has a number of natural circular cavities which some say look like cooking utensils, which can only be seen by clambering up on to the stone.
Lisa is a photographer with a great eye for a good photo opportunity and encourages you to take photos too. You don't have to be an expert and a camera phone is ideal to capture the amazing landscape.
