Overview

Join us for a guided tour of the Drakelow Tunnels Museum. A very unique place with lots of history.

Whilst the majority of the tunnels are not open to the public, our tour will still see some of the tunnels and a museum telling the story of the site.

The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

They open the Drakelow Tunnels Museum on a few dates each year and welcome visitors to come on a guided tour inside the museum and see some of the ongoing renovation works.

We have opted for the "Guided Discovery Tour" which is more comprehensive and as well as the museum, includes information and WW2 and Cold War footage is shown via a projector along the route of the tour.

All sales go straight into the renovation works and help preserve WW2 and Cold War history for future generations to come. There will be an option to donate via a donations box on site so any spare change you have, they would be extremely grateful for.

Some of the key areas they are working on:

  • WWII Shadow Factory Area
  • 1960s / 1980s Government Offices
  • BT Communications Hub / Server Room
  • BBC Studio / Producers Room
  • Generator Hall / Switch Board Room
  • And more...

Please note: this is a public tour so won’t be Spice exclusive.
