Market Bosworth Easy Ramble and Picnic
Overview
Its National Picnic Week and Midsummers Day, so a perfect time for a ramble followed by a Spice picnic.
Steve Dell will lead us on this easy 5 mile ramble starting from Market Bosworth Country Park, a landscaped 35-hectare park which was formerly part of Bosworth Hall deer parkland. There are fine, mature trees, a lake, a planted arboretum with exotic species, a wildflower meadow and community woodland.
We start through the park and its lovely woods and lakes before venturing out into open farmland as we go to Sutton Cheney.
The return uses The Leicestershire Round, a long distance footpath as we go back into the Country Park.
After the ramble its time to get our picnic blankets out.
The Picnic: You can be as basic or extravagant as you like with the picnic, from sarnies to strawberries & champagne, or your favourite nibbles and drinks, plus any accessories you need such as rugs, chairs etc. An ideal summer event!!
Spice will provide, plates, cutlery, cups, napkins etc
