Overview

Let's Spice things up a little and enjoy an Indian breakfast straight from the cafes of Bombay. Think traditional eggs, but with chilli and coriander, and bacon or sausages served in freshly baked Naan Breads! They also offer House Granola, fruits and yoghurts and not forgetting the best Masala Beans you've ever tasted!

Their breakfast menu is extensive but if you're struggling with where to start, why not try the Chef's Favourite: Chloe Puri Halwa - Chole (chickpeas), halwa (sweet semolina), pickles (which are pickles) and one giant, crackled, puffy puri. Satisfying and perfect with a cup of house chai.

Dishes suitable for vegan diets and gluten and dairy-intolerances are available if required.

Dishoom Birmingham pays homage to Bombay's Swadeshi Market. Bombay, like Birmingham, is a city of a thousand trades. Through its markets and manufacturers, craftsmen and commerce, India forged a proud new identity built on the principle of Swadeshi (self-reliance), and gained its independence. Through the story, design and artwork of this café, Dishoom pay homage to all who laboured for India’s freedom.

Member feedback from our Bombay Birmingham Breakfast in March 25

  • Chris did a fab job VC'ing as always. Dishoom was lovely. I think the event was well hosted, the food good and quite unique and reasonable value. I'd consider doing it again for sure.
  • As a stand alone event it was enjoyable, and I would definitely do it again. It’s a bit of a niche event so difficult to say whether value for money, but the food was excellent, the staff were attentive and I was pleased that I’d gone for an Indian breakfast rather than a more traditional bacon and sausage with a twist.
  • I would certainly recommend Dishoom for breakfast. It is excellent. Should definitely be on the repeats.
  • Not knowing what to have I went for the suggested "Chefs Recommendation" in the write up. It wasn't for me, being of a spicy nature. I don't think I'd repeat it on the grounds meal events are not for me, but it was good to have a morning event, rather than evening one to try one. I'm sure it would suit other people better, who like Indian food.
  • The Breakfast at Dishoom was value for money. We had a nice time but only three or four people introduced themselves. We were made to feel welcome and yes I would book this type of event again. We even went to a pub after breakfast so most people made an effort. I'm not sure how the event could be improved.
