Their chef is integral to their success and his passion for the dishes he creates ensures exciting new tastes sensations as well as mouth-watering favourites. It is worth mentioning that their chef hails from Hyderabad a region in India known for its diverse culture and cuisine and we take pride in our chef’s competence. Having worked at some of the leading hotels in India after graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management in Hyderabad.
Conveniently located in Lordswood Road , Harborne one of the most sought after location in Birmingham. There’s a strong continental feel to umami with its fresh modern interior, they also have a relaxed bar and lounge area and a choice of amazing cocktail made from the in-house mixologist. The surroundings in Umami are rich and welcoming and we can relax in comfort while selecting from a truly innovative menu.

Aachari Tikka - Succulent boneless chicken in a spicy tangy marinade
Chilli Prawns Hakka - Spicy chilli prawns stir fried
Kakori Sheek Kebab - Succulent lamb mince cooked Lucknow style
Butter Chicken Patiyala - Chargrilled pulled chicken in a rich Makhni gravy
Rajasthani Laal Maas - Spicy lamb from the royal states of Rajasthan
Mushroom & Soya Kadhai - Mushroom and soya chunks cooked in a rich brown onion gravy
Palak Paneer - Curried spinach and paneer cooked with ginger and garlic
