You may well remember the great TV show Robot Wars – well here is a chance for our very own Spice Robot Wars.
Ever wondered what it takes to build a robot for the hit TV show Robot Wars?
How are they made?
What materials and equipment are used?
Plus, what it’s like to battle with a 110kg Heavyweight in a battle arena?
Well now you can! Spice have teamed up with Extreme Robots and booked an exclusive session for Battling Robots: The Experience. A day you will never forget!
Take control of a fully combat ready 110kg battling robot from the start of the experience and see if you can battle it to victory. This is your only chance in the UK to experience the thrills and spills of robotic combat first-hand. the experience lasts Approx. 2 hours, and includes a Tour of the workshop, the living museum of UK robots, and then to learn how robots are created!
There will be 4 full on battles in their purpose-built arena including the pit and flames!
In-between battles get your hands dirty and get your robot ready for your next battle - learn how to refill the gas bottles, change the batteries and of course, fix any problems.
Extreme Robots have created the UK’S only Permanent Class 3 Heavyweight Battle arena at our HQ in Nottinghamshire which will play host to this incredible experience. Get an in-depth look into the UK’s battling Heavyweight robots from the workshop area where they are created with demonstrations on how the robots are built from design phase, CNC Plasma cutting all the way through to the finished fighting machine!
We’ve assembled the largest collection of classic heavyweight Robots in the world for your personal viewing, including Matilda, the BBC Robot Wars House Robot moulds, Bulldog Breed, Stinger, and not forgetting, the Extreme Robots House robot Major Damage, plus plenty more on show to get your selfies with.
Once you’ve had your workshop tour, it’s then onto the main event, The Battling Robots! The countdown will commence with you in control of a Heavyweight Robot n the Extreme Robots Battle Arena.

No technical experience is necessary, and anyone can take part.
Location & Itinerary
How the day will work…
On arrival we will use their small robots to practice and have some fun with.
Then we will have a tour of the workshop and the museum of robots.
We will get assigned to teams and a robot for the experience.
They have up to 4 robots and each team with be 2 or 3.
We start off with one of the robots and everyone will have a chance to drive around some cones, timed.
Then the battles begin.
After the first set of battles we take all the robots out to their pit area, and he explains what you need to do to remove the batteries and gas bottle. I put the batteries on charge. And we refill the gas bottles together.
The guy does a talk about how robots are made and the parts inside them and show you anything interesting I’m currently working on.
Batteries charged you then put your gloves back on and refit the gas bottle and the batteries.
If there’s any faults with the robots, we also fix them.
We then mix the robots up, first 2 fight each other and then the second set battle it out.
I then announce the winners of each battle, we get a group photo of every and the robots.
Then that’s the end of the 2 hours and there’s time for you to ask more questions, play with the small robots before you leave.
