Berkswell Figure of Eight Ramble
Overview
Join Rob for this new Figure of Eight ramble in Berkswell which is a very popular walking area.
The morning ramble is 3½ miles and begins heading towards the hamlets of Benton Green onto Carol Green. We then pass Beechwood tunnel on the west Cost Mainline we return to Berkswell via Ram Hall farm. This used to produce some very famous cheese but sadly there no longer been produced. Its also here that we see the site of the HS2.. Once back at Berkswell we can have a during at the pub or the café before starting the second half.
The afternoon ramble is 4½ miles and we head out towards Meriden rising gently up the hill. We drop down to Meriden church where we continue along the ridge above the village which has some lovely views. We then reach our halfway stop at Berryfields Farm with its lovely barn coffee shop. The return to Berkswell is via Cornets End Lane
