Spice Dines East – The Victoria Pub, Mile End
Overview
Continuing our series of dining out on the east side of London, join us for dinner at The Victoria Pub near Mile End station.
This historic Inn, opposite Mile End Park, had a revamp during Covid and now describes itself as an "East End Boozer Big On Fish". The owners pride themselves on serving locally sourced dishes, with a focus on sustainable, fresh seafood sourced from British ports by independent fishmongers; their Specials menu is compiled daily.
Given their tagline, it's no surprise that their menu is predominantly fish and seafood based but there are a couple of meat / vegetarian options for those that want something else. You can see a sample menu HERE
Starters are £5-£21, Mains are £13-£25 and Sides are £6. Desserts are £4-£15
Being a pub, they have a wide range of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks available.
On the night you just pay for your own food, drinks and the relevant service charge (typically 12.5%). Payment by card is preferred. Cash is accepted but there is no till on the premises so they can't give any change.
