Smiley Spaces are first and foremost comedy lovers. They are a small family business trying to bring the very best Standup Comedians to your local area. Many of them you may have seen on television shows such as “Live at the Apollo”, “The Michael Macintyre Roadshow”, “Mock the Week” etc. The aim is to provide the finest Comedy bills available anywhere outside of London. They want you to have a great night and we work hard to deliver a fantastic evening’s entertainment.
It’s a small theatre-style auditorium with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, there is a short interval between each comedian and there’s always a lot of laughs.
This months bill includes George Zak, Jack Campbell, Eleanor Tiernan and your host is Jarred Christmas.
You can BYO drinks which makes it very reasonably priced, there is no glassware so cans or individual bottled beer may be the easiest to bring along. This place was recommended to me by members and I’m always keen to support other small businesses, so I hope you will give it a try.
Location & Itinerary
Based in Keynsham Civic Center, “The Space” is a purpose-built lecture theatre/performance room. It has tiered seating for comfortable viewing from anywhere in the room and black-out curtains. We currently run a “bring your own bottle policy”, so please bring your favourite tipple along with you. Facilities for the Disabled are in place and include a lift and disabled toilets.
The doors open at 7.30pm, the Show Starts at 8.15pm prompt and the evening ends around 10.30pm.
Keynsham Train Station is a short walk around the corner from “The Space” and just provides a quick link to and from both Bath and Bristol.
There are several car parks within “a stones throw” of The Space and at least two of them are free after 6pm.
