Sunday Walk: Daresbury and The Bridgewater Canal
Overview
A lovely walk starting from the village of Daresbury taking in fields, towpaths and country lanes; the views on this walk are great on a clear day when you can see for miles.
Daresbury’s (pronounced Darsbury) main claim to fame is that the father of Lewis Carroll (born 1832) was the vicar here hence why the Lewis Carroll Centre is based here. The Lewis Carroll Centre opens from 2pm on Sundays.
Before setting off in our cars for home, you may want to pop over the road to the Ring ‘O’ Bells pub for a satisfying end of walk drink!
