Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold Bluebell Ramble and optional lunch
Overview
A lovely ramble with Steve Dell. This 5½ mile ramble will explore Calk Abbey, the Calke Park Estate and Dimminsdale Woods - all beautiful at any time of the year but we go now to see their amazing bluebell woods.
The most impressive part is Serpentine Wood where there are great carpets of bluebells.
As well as woodland the walk will include some waterside paths and will explore the wider estate and venture in to the surrounding countryside.
Location & Itinerary
There are lovely cafés at the start and a National Trust café half way and the option of a pub lunch after the ramble.
