Hockley Heath and Umberslade Easy Christmas Tree Ramble
Overview
This new 5 mile ramble with Rob Smith starts from The Wharf in Hockley health.
We leave using the Stratford on Avon canal. This section has some lovely lift bridges and is very picturesque.
Leaving the canal, we pass through Lapworth church (famous for its separate steeple) and enter a small valley as we pass through the grounds of Nuthurst Grange and onto the vast Christmas tree plantation.
After this, we pass through Kemps Green, skirting the edge of Umberslade Hall.
We will pause at Farmer Teds shed, an infamous automated farm shop where machines dispense coffees, ice creams, milk, milkshakes and local produce.
The return is via an isolated church and farmer teds cows Shed !!
Back at the pub Rob will have reserved tables, the pub has also recently changed hands and has an part of the Stone and Stout group.
