Petanque (French Boules) Taster Morning
Overview
Pétanque (or French Boules) is an easy sport to get started in. It’s enjoyed by young and old alike, gets you outside and can be played by people of all fitness levels.
If you fancy a go, now’s your chance as we have booked a Spice Exclusive taster session with the Solihull Club de Pétanque which will include information about the game plus 3 supervised games. You'll be partnered up differently for each game, whilst your individual scores are still collated so that the overall winner can be presented with a bottle of fizz at the end.
After the games we can retire to the Club House for a well earned drink and perhaps a simple panini and chips lunch if we wish.
The Club in Solihull was founded in 1982 and achieved affiliation to the National body the following year. It became a fully integrated section of the Blossomfield Club when it moved to the Widney Lane site in 1996.
We play boules on two purpose built terrains and the idea is an introduction to the game and loan boules will be provided. No previous experience is necessary – just a sense of fun.
