Lymm Canal Walk + a Meal at the Barn Owl
Overview
Today we take a social walk into and around Lymm taking in the Bridgewater Canal and surrounding area followed by a main course meal canalside at the Barn Owl.
The Barn Owl is a lovely restaurant located on the outskirts of Lymm., very popular with Narrowboat Helmsmen and locals alike.
Our gentle walk will take us along the canal banks in to Lymm village where if we have time we can a look around, pop for a coffee or maybe even a pint before wandering back for our well deserved lunch.

Location & Itinerary
Please choose your meal from below at the time of booking (if there are options of accompaniements, please let us know your preferences too)
- 14oz Gammon Steak: served with Pineapple or Egg (Fried or Poached) or both + Chips and Peas
- Chicken Curry: Home Made medium spiced Chicken Curry served with Rice or chips or both!, Naan bread & Mango chutney.
- Lasagne: a traditional Italian dish served with Chips, Garlic bread & salad
- Hunters Chicken: succulent Chicken Breast wrapped in bacon & cooked in tangy BBQ sauce with chips or new potatoes or mashed potatoes
- Beer Battered Haddock: deliciously Crisp beer battered Haddock Served with Chips, Mushy Peas or Garden Peas
- Scampi: succulent scampi deep fried served with Chips and garden peas or mushy peas
- Salmon & Prawn Salad: Salmon, North Atlantic Prawns with a Marie Rose Sauce, Tuna, Boiled Egg, served with a Warm Crusty Roll
- Chicken Caesar Salad: Succulent pieces of chicken served with Cos lettuce, croutons topped with a Caesar dressing
- Tuna Niçoise Salad: Succulent pieces of tuna, green beans, tomato, black olives & baby new potatoes served with cos lettuce, boiled egg, topped with lemon vinaigrette

We'll be taking a stroll of around 3 1/2 to 4 miles returning to the Barn Owl to reward ourselves with a main course lunch
From the Bowdon Roundabout take the exit on to Lymm Road the A56 signposted for Lymm. Continue for 1.9 miles then turn right on to Warrington Road and continue for 0.7 miles. The Barn Owl is on the right and has ample car parking space.
