York Christmas Market and Lunch at Harkers

Today we will be having a 2 course lunch consisting of a main and dessert. The menu is below:

MAINS

ROAST SIRLOIN OF BEEF - Hand-carved, 21-day-aged roast beef served with roast potatoes. thyme roasted carrots, glazed parsnips, long-stem broccoli, a Yorkshire pudding and gravy (GF available)

ROAST CHICKEN - Succulent roasted chicken with sage & onion stuffing served with roast potatoes, thyme roasted carrots, glazed parsnips, long-stem broccoli, a Yorkshire pudding and rich gravy (GF available)

NUT & VEGETABLE ROAST - Almonds, walnuts, sweet potato and root vegetables served with a rich vegan gravy, roast potatoes, thyme roasted carrots, glazed parsnips and long-stem broccoli (VE/GF)

BRITISH STEAK & NICHOLSON'S PALE ALE PIE – Blade of beef in Nicholson’s Pale Ale gravy in a thyme pastry pie served with buttery mashed potato, thyme roasted carrots and a rich gravy

CHICKEN, MUSHROOM AND CIDER PIE – chicken and mushrooms in a creamy Henry Westons Vintage Cider sauce, in a short crust pastry served with buttery mashed potato, thyme roasted carrots and a rich gravy

MUSHROOM, RED WINE AND TARRAGON SUET PIE – with long stem broccoli, thyme roasted carrots and a rich gravy

NICHOLSONS FISH & CHIPS - Haddock hand-battered in Nicholson’s Pale Ale, with chunky chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce 

SAUSAGE & MASH - British Pork sausages on buttery mash, rich caramelised onion gravy and crispy onions

GARLIC CHICKEN SCHNITZEL – Schnitzel smothered in garlic, skin-on-fries, watercress and pickled red onion salad

PESTO, CHEESE AND SPINACH GNOCCHI – Basil pesto, rustic garlic ciabatta (V)

BEEF BRISKET BURGER – chargrilled beef patty, hand pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese sauce with lettuce, gherkin, tomato, mayonnaise and skin-on-fries

BUTTERMILK CHICKEN BURGER – crispy chicken breast, smoked back bacon, smoked Cheddar cheese with lettuce, gherkin, tomato, mayonnaise and skin-on-fries

SPINACH AND FALAFEL BURGER- pink pickled onions, Applewood slice, baked mushroom and tomato salsa served with house salad (VE)
