About Our West Midlands Group
Welcome to the West Midlands branch of Spice. We are the largest group in the Spice family, with hundreds of wonderful members of all ages and all walks of life. It’s a group for anyone looking to do lots of things they wouldn’t otherwise do and meet lots of people they wouldn’t otherwise meet. That’s Spice in a nutshell!
Our members have a vast range of events to choose from each month. There is literally something for everyone; be it the latest adrenaline-pumping outdoor activities, weekends and holidays, rambles and cycle rides, sport and fitness days, workshops and talks, or something else entirely. We even offer a huge programme of social events, including theatre, concerts, dining, parties and behind the scenes visits to lots of places you’ve always wanted to go. We even provide extras to TV shows on occasion!
It’s all about having fun and trying new things, and you’ll meet plenty of like-minded and ‘go-for-it’ people of all ages and abilities, who simply want to live life to the full. Membership and event costs are always kept to a minimum. In return, you’ll have lots of fun, make hundreds of friends and have an unbelievable ‘interests & hobbies’ section on your next CV!
Spice is for everyone, but it is particularly good for those new to the area, or who have perhaps just come out of a relationship and want to fill their calendar with lots of fun things to do and get an instant social circle of new friends. We have a team of friendly people working out of the Spice Office in Tamworth, who find and create lots of great events and ensure they all run smoothly. Our team includes:

- Claire Skerrett – Event Administrator
- Wendy Rake – Event Administrator
In addition to this, we have a large number of volunteer coordinators who are long term members, who have gotten a lot out of the group themselves and want to give something back. They help us by hosting events that we can’t get to ourselves and ensure that members always get a warm welcome!

I only wish I’d joined Spice 6 years ago when I was newly single and just moved back up from London – I’m loving life now! Thanks! I’ve met some really lovely people, do some interesting things and my diary is full !!
I have been a member of Spice for more than 12 years and enjoyed every minute, I have made lots of new friends and done things I never would have imagined possible, including handling birds of prey, getting dressed as a forensic investigator, learnt to virtually fly a plane, played at being a gladiator, built and sailed a raft, fire eating, walked through a mile long tunnel in the dark and others too numerous to mention. Spice has changed my outlook on life for the better and improved my confidence. Here’s to many more years with the group. A huge improvement to my social life.
